Delete Your Lilara Account
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This page explains how to delete your account for Lilara – Family Meal Planner, the app published by Lilara on the App Store and Google Play, and what happens to your data when you do.
Option 1: Delete your account in the app
This is the quickest way, and it takes effect immediately.
- Open Lilara and sign in.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Under Account, tap Delete Account.
- Tick “Yes, I understand and want to delete my account”.
- Tap Delete My Account.
Option 2: Ask us to delete it by email
If you no longer have the app installed or can’t sign in, email support@lilara.co.uk with the subject “Delete my Lilara account”. Send it from the email address you signed up with, or tell us that address, so we can confirm the account is yours. If you signed in with Apple and chose “Hide My Email”, please mention that.
We will confirm by email once your account has been deleted, and in any case within one month, as required by UK GDPR.
What is deleted
- Your Lilara account and sign-in details (email address, display name and sign-in provider link)
- Your membership of every household you belong to
- Family profiles linked to you
- Push notification tokens for your devices
- Your current subscription status record and Smart Plan usage counts held by Lilara
- If you haven’t set up a household, your meal plan, saved recipes and shopping list
- Households you are the only owner of, together with everything in them: the meal plan, saved recipes, shopping list and family profiles. This also removes that household for anyone else who had joined it.
What is kept, and for how long
- Shared households with another owner: if someone else also owns a household you belong to, the household and its meals, recipes and shopping list stay with them. Only your membership and your linked profile are removed.
- Subscription history: records of past subscription changes held by Lilara are deleted automatically within 90 days. Purchase records held by Apple, Google and our subscription provider RevenueCat are kept under their own policies, for example for tax and refunds.
- Analytics and crash reports: usage analytics (PostHog) and crash reports (Sentry) never contain your name or email address. They may carry an anonymous Lilara user ID, which no longer points to anyone once your account is deleted, and are kept under those services’ standard retention periods.
- Server logs are anonymised or deleted after a short period.
Your subscription is not cancelled automatically
Deleting your account does not cancel a Lilara Pro subscription, because it is billed by Apple or Google. Cancel it first so you are not charged again:
- Android: Google Play Store → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Lilara → Cancel subscription.
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Lilara → Cancel Subscription.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You can delete individual meals, recipes and family profiles in the app at any time. To ask us to delete other data, email support@lilara.co.uk. For more on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
